Achievements
Christ Nagar Group of Schools have consistently maintained an
outstanding record in academic and co-curricular achievements. The
State School has secured cent percent pass, more than three State
Ranks and the largest number of distinctions for a single school
in the state every year at the public examinations for the last
fifteen years. The fact that more than 75% of the SSLC students
and more than 90% of the ISC students who completed their with us
have entered professional courses through entrance exams and that
they have completed or are completing their courses successfully,
is a creditable achievement for the schools. In the District and
state youth festivals and other interschool competitions the
students of Christ Nagar Group of Schools have creditable records.
Computer Literary Award
Computer Literary Award was instituted by the Ministry of
Communications and Information Technology ,Government of India.
The
state level 2nd Computer Literacy Excellence Award 2003
came as a well –deserved tribute to the vision and imagination
of school’s benevolent leadership.It consists of a trophy and a
cash award of Rs.1.50 lakhs which is to be handed over to the
Principal by the Honorable President of India at an award
distribution function to be held later this year at Vigyan Bhavan
New Delhi.
The
school has broken new grounds by making computers part of the
teaching curriculam ,making its staff computer literate using the
computer as an effective tool in the dissemination of knowledge
.LCD projectors and and Multimedia computers have become part of
teaching paraphernalia. The school has been helpful in
demystifying the computer for the laymen by means of computer
literacy programmes like ‘Intel Teach to the future’ and ‘Summer
in Thiruvallom’. It is a saga of triumph.
Academic Achievements
The
curriculum and syllabus followed in the school are those
prescribed by the ICSE board. Regular monthly tests and terminal
exams are conducted based on the topic covered each month and term
respectively. The audio visual periods help the students to learn
and comprehend things visually. The students were shown CD’s
related to different subjects. The primary section has a separate
library of their own in this school. Learning rhymes through music
with rhythm make the classes more enjoyable.
